Qibla Compass
Find the Qibla with your phone's compass
How it works
Your phone's GPS gives your position, and the direction to the Kaaba in Makkah is worked out from it on the phone. Tap Start compass, then turn until the arrow points straight up: the circle glows green when you face the Qibla. It works without internet once it has been opened once.
Getting a good reading
Hold the phone flat, away from metal, speakers and magnetic cases. If the direction looks wrong, tap Calibrate and move the phone in a figure 8. Your location stays on your phone and is never sent to The Maktab App.
