Staff, hours and pay
Maktab staffing is unusual: mostly part-time, often paid by the hour, frequently changing week to week around exams and Ramadan. Reconstructing a month of that from memory at the end of it is where the errors come from, and errors about somebody's pay are the ones that damage trust fastest.
So teachers clock in and out on their own phones. Those hours become timesheets, the timesheets add themselves into pay weeks, and pay weeks are what payroll runs from. Nobody chases a paper sheet and nobody reconstructs a rota.
Where hours need adjusting — a lesson covered, a session that overran — the adjustment is recorded next to the original rather than replacing it, so the arithmetic can always be explained back to the person being paid.
Alongside that, a staff room inside the app: one feed the team can see, announcements that actually reach everyone, and threads instead of six separate WhatsApp groups. Each person controls their own notifications. Tagging an office name puts that thread into the office queue, so a question asked in the staff room does not fall through the gap between "someone will see it" and nobody does.
